What is DD?

Datawash uses innovative and clever matching tool to identify the same person or an organisation’s trading name at the same address. Datawash can automatically analyse the content of multiple lists, where name and address data is stored in more than one list, to find names and addresses that are duplicated in the lists.

This delivers great value in matching:
  • marketing/promotion lists with current accounts lists
  • competition entries with existing customer details
  • newly acquired data with current name and address lists

In the same way, Datawash’s duplicate detection process will find repeated matches of names and addresses within a single list. This delivers value by::

  • removing duplicates and merging account information
  • identifying people from the same address, to eliminate household mail duplication
  • people’s names in English language have some level of acceptable tolerance – for example ‘Dan’ is the shortened form of ‘Daniel’. Also, Australian addresses are standardized to meet AMAS addressing requirements for a greater degree of matching accuracy and precision

More elements such as date of birth, gender, telephone numbers and client-defined fields can be added into the process. Matching can also be performed at the address level only to identify individuals who use the same address.

Duplicate Name/Address records can be presented in any form, i.e. Duplicates separated, merged, or flagged.
